Tillage and Soil Dynamics Laboratory
A state-of-the-art full-scale soil bin system setup is available for R&D studies and data generation on soil-tool interaction, tool-design optimization, research on soil-tillage. This facility will help Industries and researchers for testing of their products under controlled conditions for design improvements. Performance parameters are measured through high accuracy sensors and the universal data acquisition system.
Seeding and Planting Laboratory
The laboratory consists of a state-of-the-art sticky belt system to study metering mechanisms for design optimization of metering mechanism of seed drills, seed cum fertilizer drill and planters to assist researchers and manufacturers for development and testing of their prototypes under simulated conditions.
Plant Protection Laboratory
The plant protection laboratory, a unique facility in the country, is equipped with test rig for testing of nozzles and their spray pattern under simulated conditions. The laboratory is used for design optimization of components of sprayers and laboratory studies on efficiency of commercial designs of sprayers for their design refinement.
Precision Farming Laboratory
Precision Farming Laboratory is equipped with instrumentation to conduct applied research, work with industry and government agencies to develop "real world" precision and site-specific tools for agricultural automation and natural resources management. The lab maintains state-of-the-art facilities to support research, including sophisticated UAS platforms and sensors, high performance computation power and software programs, as well as various radiometers, calibration equipment, ecosystem measurement instrumentation and controllers.
Ergonomics Laboratory
The ergonomics laboratory is equipped with facilities for studies on person and its environment for increasing labour productivity, reducing drudgery and enhancing safety. This laboratory has various equipment needed for collection of anthropometric and strength data used in design of various farm equipment; computerized facilities to measure energy expenditure by measuring oxygen consumption
